Tri-State Balancing Company technicians are highly trained and skilled in the testing, adjusting, and balancing industry, with many years of experience in air, hydronics, duct leak testing, commissioning and fume hood certification. Each technician is supplied with a full set of certified TAB instruments to aid in the performance of their work. They are each supplied with laptop computers with the required control software and communication interface devices. This is an important need for the balancing of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems, which changes rapidly in the HVAC industry, and can accomplish this independent of the ATC contractor. Our Business

Tri-State Balancing Company was formed in 1982 by Elmer Knapp, as a separate independent company with no affiliation to a mechanical contractor, general contractor, or construction manager. Tri-State Balancing Company is a member in good standing of the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), Sheetmetal Workers' Union-Local #19, International Training Institute (ITI) certified technicians, ASHRAE - Philadelphia Chapter, and Sheetmetal Contractors Association (SMCA) of Philadelphia and Vicinity.
